Ok I’m pretty sure everyone is well aware of my love for Disney. I base my year upon countdowns to my next trip! Well, it has been two years since we’ve been there (ridiculous I know) and as we are getting ready to head to visit the mouse I have been in full planning mode.
I’m pretty sure my husband is ready to jump out the window with the millions of questions I’ve been asking him and trying to get everything ready for Lily’s first trip! This trip is a little different as we are heading to Orlando so that Kevin can attend a conference. We luck out as his company is paying for the majority of our trip (SCORE!) What is not so fun is that he is a last minute, never-has-all-the-details person and I am an over-the-top planner who cannot handle his lack of detail.
Anyway, I made all of our dining reservations at the magical 180 day mark so that we could eat at the best restaurants and get tables at our favorites. Well, today I was going over everything to make sure all days were covered and it hit me….
WE HAVE A KID.
Not in the sense that we have been keeping this little girl alive for almost 8 months now, I obviously know we have a child, but we are taking a child to Disney on vacation. Looking down at my dining reservation list I realize that almost none of these restaurants are geared toward children and, although it is Disney, I don’t want to pay all that money so that my child has a melt down and we can’t enjoy our $60/plate meals and every adult without kids gives us mean looks during dinner.
Looks like we will be dining with Pooh and friends, Mickey and his gang and Cinderella and the princesses….
Bring on a whole new way to vacation in Disney!
