I am in love with the TLC show Extreme Couponing. I long to be an extreme couponer and check out with four carts and spending only $12. I am FAR from that level of couponing, but I am getting much better at using them!
One thing on the show that I find the most interesting is the stockpiles these people have built up! Some of them are really impressive and if their family ever hit an economic crisis, they are totally set to feed themselves for quite sometime. I think in the end that’s what is most appealing to me. I’m pretty sure my husband is not on board with stockpiling, but if I pitch it to him that way, maybe that will make a difference?
I have always been one to be a little “over prepared.” I always like to have back ups of important items so we never run out. We have a very small stockpile of both toilet paper and paper towels. But mainly because we buy them in bulk, not because we got incredible deals and they were free. Therefore, the idea of having a stockpile of the items we use is so thrilling to me I can’t even stand it. I don’t need to fill my cart with 100 bottles of juice or crackers, but being able to buy 4 boxes at a time and having them on hand would be great!
