Happy New Year!!!!
What an exciting 2013 it was. It was a very trying year for the Taylor family, but a very great one too. I can’t say that I’m terribly sad to see it go, but I can say we made some awesome memories and some awesome new friends this year! As always, onward and upward!
A new year means some resolutions for the year ahead. I really think that most people’s resolutions max out at around three weeks, but this year I’m determined to at least stick to a few of them! So without further ado, here are my 2014 new years resolutions!
1. Get Fit. This is a big one for me. I have been overweight for far too long and it is time to make a big change. Even if I don’t lose the millions of pounds I need to, I need to start drinking water and eating healthy.
2. Give up Pepsi. This may sound ridiculous to most of you, but I am ADDICTED to Pepsi. I pretty much drink zero water and really only live off of Pepsi. This is going to be so hard for me, but I know I need to do it for so many reasons! This is the equivalent to quitting smoking for pack-a-day smokers, so I might be a little miserable for awhile at first. Fair warning.
3. Get financially in shape. We have let this go for far too long, and although I am pretty good at couponing, we need to get our whole budgeting, money-saving lifestyle in order. I *finally* got Kevin on board and I really think 2014 will bring much financial stability and health to our family.
4. Start doing the things I love. I love to cook, I love to sew, I love to write and I love to do projects. Unfortunately most of this has taken a backseat this year. I realized that by being fat and stressed, all I have done is be lazy. And there’s no more time for lazy here! Successful people aren’t lazy, that’s why they are successful. I am so looking forward to really vamping up the blog, learning some new photo editing and web designing, sharing some new recipes and making some new things for the house. Pinterest watch out!
So there are my major goals for this year! Of course we have quite a few other goals for the year, but if we can conquer these ones, then the other ones will be accomplished as well!
I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and fun new year ahead! Stick with me for some fun changes and some really good stuff coming up in this new year!!!
